Airport to Hotel

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. At Charles de Gaulle Airport:

  • Follow signs for “RER B” or “Paris by Train”
  • Terminal 2: The RER B station is integrated into the terminal
  • Terminal 1 or 3: Take the free CDGVAL automated shuttle to Terminal 2, then follow RER B signs

2. Buy Your Ticket:

  • Look for the white/blue ticket machines labeled “TICKETS | Navigo Paris Ile-de-France”
  • DO NOT use the “Grandes Lignes” SNCF/TGV machines (those are for intercity trains)
  • Purchase: “Paris Region <> Airports” ticket
  • Cost: €14 per person
  • You can also buy from ticket office staff (they speak English)

Ticket Options:

  • One-way ticket: €14 each way (€28 total round trip per person)
  • Navigo Easy card: €2 (reusable smartcard you can load tickets onto)

3. Board the RER B Train:

  • Direction: “Robinson” or “Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse” (southbound)
  • DO NOT take trains going to “Mitry-Claye” or “Aéroport CDG” (those go north)
  • Trains run every 10-20 minutes
  • First train: ~4:50 AM | Last train: ~11:50 PM

4. Travel Time & Your Stop:

  • Total journey: approximately 40-45 minutes
  • Get off at: Arcueil-Cachan station (about 11 stops from CDG Terminal 2)

5. From Arcueil-Cachan Station to Hotel:

  • Walking distance: approximately 1 km (12-15 minute walk)
  • Exit the station and head west on Avenue Carnot
  • The hotel is at 6 Avenue du Président Salvador Allende

Alternative: You could take local bus 162, 187, or 193, but walking is straightforward.

Important Tips:

Validate your ticket at the turnstiles when entering the station ✅ Keep your ticket until you exit – you’ll need it to get out ✅ Watch for pickpockets on the RER B – keep valuables secure ✅ Check the train direction on platform displays before boarding ✅ Download the free “Bonjour RATP” app for real-time schedules and maps

Cost Summary (Per Person):

  • Airport → Hotel: €14

This is significantly cheaper than taxis (€60-70) or private transfers (€80-120), and the RER B is reliable and direct!
